Heyo!

Happy Friday! Was your week as sweaty as mine? I think we deserve a break, wanna come chill out and crochet with me?

Here’s the dealio, years ago I crocheted a goblin hand puppet named Jack Gurgle. Honestly, one of my favorite projects to this day, the problem? I never wrote down the pattern! Classic crocheter’s dilemma.

Somewhere between me moving, changing computers, and creating hundreds of other crochet patterns, the instructions vanished (or never existed at all lol). All that's left is the original Jack Gurgle, some sketches, and my vague memory of how I made him.

So starting today, I'm doing something a little different. For today’s weekly live crochet along I'm going to begin reverse-engineering Jack from scratch and design the pattern together live.

We'll experiment, probably make some mistakes, solve problems, and slowly birth a new goblin puppet one stitch at a time. This is a bigger project than normal, so it might take a few streams to get there, which we’ll do over the next few months, but by the end of the series, we'll have a brand-new crochet pattern, and you'll get to watch the entire creative process unfold!
